In the 2006 election, facing a tough opponent, incumbent Congressman Roger Wicker (Mississippi) and his staff turned to Flat Creek to create an online presence that would emphasize the Congressman’s work on behalf of his constituents and engage supporters to sign-up for volunteer activities. The Wicker team also wanted to accept contributions online, while still staying within federal campaign regulations.
With tight campaign deadlines approaching, Flat Creek quickly designed a site for the campaign that focused on the Congressman’s connections with the district and his accomplishments. The site also integrated highly-customized third-party tools to provide contribution and volunteer management capabilities, in addition to a user-friendly system to send e-mail updates and alerts.
Mr. Wicker went on to win reelection by a whopping 32 points.
